Imphal, June 30 2015 : Troops of the 24 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector AR under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) apprehended a drug Peddler carrying heroin at Khudengthabi check post on Jun 27.According to a statement issued by PRO HQ IGAR (S), the apprehendee was identified as Manglin Thang (25), S/o Ginjapao of Tuinom under Churachandpur district.

He was travelling in a blue colored Maruti Eco Van bearing Registration Number MN/ 01S- 1014, and heading towards Imphal.

During frisking and checking of driver of the vehicle, the contraband drug was recovered which was tied over his body.

Two packets of heroin weighing approximately 30 grams and other incriminating articles were recovered from his possession.

The apprehendee along with the recovered items was handed over to the Moreh Police Station.
