Imphal, November 29 2012:
Please refer to the news item that appeared under the heading, 'Tet exam conducted in Church' in the November 28 issue of this paper.
On following up the story, it has been learnt that the place where the exam was conducted is not 'technically' a Church.
A prominent member of the All Manipur Christian Organisation on being contacted by The Sangai Express informed that the place where the exam was held is used as place of worship by members of the Reformed Presbyterian Church.
The place has not been dedicated as a Holy Sanctuary and hence technically it cannot be called a Church, he said.
He however explained that the said place is used as place of worship by members of the said place.
The Covenant English School is run by the Reformed Presbyterian Church.
