AR recovers contraband items worth more than Rs 28 lakh

Tengnoupal, November 26 2019: Troops of Assam Rifles recovered contraband items worth more than Rs 28 lakh at Khudengthabi on November 24 .

A statement issued by PIB (Defence Wing) mentioned that during a routine check at PVCP Khudengthabi on the said day, troops of Assam Rifles intercepted a suspicious vehicle driven by one Laishram Krishanamani (43) of Wangoi.

After thorough checking of the vehicle, the AR team recovered heroin weighing approximately 0.720 kg and valued at more than Rs 28 lakh.

The detainee along with the recovered items were handed over to Moreh PS for further investigation.
