Imphal, August 26 2015:
About 300 acres of jhum and agriculture land belonging to TM Dingpi villagers under Khengjoy subdivision of Chandel district were destroyed by landslide triggered by heavy rainfall recently.
A statement issued by chief of TM Dingpi, Onjamang Touthang said that the road between Dingpi and Joupi has been blocked due to landslide at two places.
Nylon pipes used for water supply in the village were also washed away.
The chief urged the authority concerned to act swiftly and take up relief and rehabilitation measures for the villagers.
