Imphal, September 25 2012: Manipur has successfully affixed photographs of all its voters in the photo electoral roll thereby becoming the fourth State in the North East region after Mizoram, Meghalaya and Tripura to have successfully compiled a comprehensive photo electoral roll.

With compilation of photo electoral roll finally complete, no other forms of identity cards would be used in future elections except Elector Photo identity Card, informed a source.

Yet, the photo electoral roll would be examined once again to check if all the details and photographs of each voter match.

So far, preparation of elector photo identity cards has been completed up to 97.03 per cent.
