Imphal, October 23 2019: Congress president Sonia Gandhi has appointed ex-Minister Moirangthem Okendro as president of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee today.

M Okendro is son of late M Ibotombi.

He was elected Member of Manipur Legislative Assembly from Heirok Constituency four times (1995, 2000, 2007 and 2012) .

He was born on March 23, 1966 .

With this appointment, he replaced veteran Congress leader Gaikhangam to head the MPCC.
