Imphal, February 23 2016: Imphal West district police commandos arrested two PREPAK (Pro) cadres, who are husband and wife, along with two hand grenades from Lamphel area today.

Acting on a specific information, a commando team led by Imphal West commando OC P Sanjoy Officer rushed to the area to arrest the couple today afternoon.

During the operation, two Chinese hand grenades and two mobile phones were recovered from their possession, said a police source.

The two arrested couple have been identified as Haijuawang Newme (47) s/o Nchaheung and his wife Lalam Haokip (38) of Tousem Khullen village in Tamenglong district.
