AR undertakes "Hum fit toh India fit" campaign

Imphal, July 21 2018: Kakching Battalion of 2 8 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) has undertaken "Hum Fit Toh India Fit" campaign for the local population.

The battalion constructed a volleyball court in Rhingphe village for the children of an orphanage Home along with distribution of various sports items today.

The Company Commander of Salluk Company Operating Base, Naga Village Chief Head and Principal of Orphanage Home inaugurated the court and donated the sports items to the children of Orphanage Home which was followed by lunch.

The staff of the Orphanage Home and children were thrilled to have a volleyball court in their premises.

The efforts of the Battalion were appreciated by the locals while stating that it is a good initiative to promote interest in sports among young children.
