Imphal, March 21 2018: 26 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR(South) donated five solar street lights providing a huge relief to the villagers of Natjang village in Ukhrul district who do not have regular electric supply being located in a remote area.

The donation of street lights was part of Operation Sadbhavana project.

The inauguration of the project was carried out by Shri T Shyam Kumar Singh, SDC, Kasom Khullen.

The event re-affirmed the commitment of Assam Rifles in helping out the people of Manipur in remote areas, besides ensuring peace in the region.

While expressing gratitude for the assistance, the villagers pledged to continue their support for security forces in the area.
