Imphal, October 20 2016:
The Manipur Hill Journalists Union has expressed its gratitude to the State Government for initiating the recruitment process for translators in the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) for daily newspapers published in Zou, Paite, Hmar, Vaiphei, Liangmai and Paomei dialects.
In a statement, the MHJU also underlined its concern on the recruitment process and appealed to the authority concerned to ensure that there is no favouritism and corruption to ensure that only the best and qualified are selected.
If the call for a clean recruitment process is not heeded then MHJU will not remain silent, it warned.
