Imphal, March 20 2015 : A workshop on 'Nutraceutical Properties of Underutilized fruits and vegetables', organised by ICAR research complex for NEH in collaboration with Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU), Hyderabad under DBT TWINNING programme was inaugurated today at ICAR, Manipur Centre.

Dr K Kipgen, Director, Department of Horticulture and Soil Conservation, Government of Manipur, ICAR Joint Director and Professor G Jiten Sharma, Manipur University, graced the occasion as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.

The presidium members emphasised on the importance of nutraceuticals for healthy living during their speech at the inaugural session of the workshop.

About 50 participants comprising of senior scientist, academicians, researchers from different institutes and KVK specialists attended the inaugural event.
