Imphal, March 20 2012: Assam Rifles of Tamenglong Bn saved the lives of people when the Gypsy they were traveling in toppled and fell into a 35 feet gradient near Power House in Tamenglong on March 17, informed a PIB DW statement.

The White Gypsy bearing Regd No NL-01C 0633 was moving towards Tamei when the mishap occurred.

Out of the six people, two were seriously injured and brought to Unit Hospital by the locals.

The unit, besides giving proper medical attention to the injured, also sent a Recovery vehicle to take the accident vehicle out of the gradient.
