Imphal, February 19 2016 : A Division Bench of High Court of Manipur comprising Chief Justice L Mohapatra and Justice Kh Nobin reserved the judgement order regarding CR Case 32 of 1994, Loktak Project Affected Area Action Committee (LPAAAC) versus National Hydro Electric Power Cooperation (NHPC) Ltd.

The order was reserved after the hearing of the case filed by LPAAAC and 57 other petitioners was held yesterday.

NHPC Ltd and three others are the respondents of the case filed at the then Imphal Bench of Gauhati High Court in 1994 seeking rehabilitation and compensation for the affected people.

The petitioners said that a huge tract of paddy field has been submerged due to commissioning of Loktak Project.
