JNIMS nurses demand pay

Imphal, September 18 2024: Non teaching staff, trained nurses and other staff of Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) have resolved to launch a cease work strike from September 20 if the Government fails to pay their pending salary for July and August by September 19 .

Speaking to the media in front of JNIMS's Medical Superintendent office today, JNIMS Trained Nurses Association president Leimapokpam Ranjita said that they are against the Government withholding their salary for two months.

She said that they have already submitted a memorandum to the Health Minister, Chief Secretary and Health Director to release their pending salary.
