5 days Ramayan Waree Leeba Festival 2018 begins

Imphal, August 18 2018: Repertory of Waree Leeba Manipur, Khurai Chaithabi Leirak and Rising Youth Organisation, Moirangkhom Bokul Makhong jointly kicked off 5 Days Ramayan Waree Leeba Festival 2018, today at Bhakta Ashram Ground Community Hall, Moirangkhom Bokul Makhong under the aegis of Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi.

Titular King Leisemba Sanajaoba, K Kunjo Singh, (MSKA awardee), president, Repertory of Waree Leeba Manipur and L Upendro Singh, Director, JN Manipur Dance Academy graced the function as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.

Speaking at the event as chief guest, Sanajaoba expressed concern over the decline of story telling culture in the State and lauded the organisers for theirs effort to preserve such art form by arranging the festival.
