Churachandpur, August 17 2021: Assam Rifles Battalion of Churachandpur Sector under the aegis of IGAR (South) organised an awareness drive against drug abuse at various locations in Churachandpur, Pherzawl, Noney and Bishnupur Districts on August 17 .

The awareness drive was organised online with an aim to create awareness amongst locals about the harmful effects of drug abuse on the body and society, said a statement of IGAR(S) .

Drugs and crime inter-relation and root cause of the spread of various diseases were also adequately briefed to the villagers.
