Imphal, January 17 2017: Three Councillors of Nambol Municipal Council, Pukhrambam Aruna (ward no 1), Okram Dhiren, (ward no 2) and Angom Bimola, (ward no 3) along with ward Member Mongjam Jugeshwor of Khori Leikai (ward no 6), Oinam Dhaballo of Khathong (ward no 16) and ward Member Nameirakpam Joychandra of Maibam Chingning (ward no 15) have joined Bharatiya Janata Party after quitting Congress.

Apart from approving their membership in BJP, they were felicitated by president of BJP, Nambol Mandal, Salam Brajamani today, conveyed a press release issued by BJP, Nambol Mandal general secretary A Jiten Singh.

Out of total 18 Councillors of the Nambol Municipal Council, BJP now has 15, it claimed.
