Imphal, January 15 2022: A team of Thoubal commandos arrested two persons along with 9,972 WY tablets from Lilong Ushoipokpi Sangomsang yesterday.

Sources said that the team rushed to Lilong areas on getting specific information about the presence of drug peddlers there and searched some suspected houses.

During the operation, at least two drug peddlers-Md Faroque (35) s/o Zanulabuddin and Md Imtiyas Khan (30) s/o Zeheruddin both from Lilong Ushoipokpi Sangomsang were arrested from their respective houses.

The WY tablets were seized from the house of Imtiyas.

The arrested persons along with the seized WY tablets have been handed over to Lilong police station.
