Kamal Toijam named for Basantakumar Award

Imphal, April 13 2025: Sahitya Thoupang Lup (Sathoulup) will confer the Heisnam Basantakumar Award, presented annually on World Book Day, to author Kamal Toijam for this year.

According to a press release by Sathoulup secretary Mayanglambam Uttamkumar on Sunday, the award will be handed over to Kamal Toijam on the occasion of World Book Day which falls on April 23 at Manipur Press Club.

As part of the programme, a young poets' meet chaired will also be organised.
