Imphal, February 13 2020: Chassad Battalion of 10 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) has always been at the forefront as far as extending a helping hand to the local population of Kamjong district is concerned.

As a part of continued endeavour towards improving the standard of living and to alleviate the problems faced by the locals due to the remoteness of the location, six solar lights were installed at Chattrik Khullen village under the Border Area Development Programme (BADP) on 12th Feb 2020 .

The initiative was well received by the villagers and the village authorities expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the efforts taken by the Assam Rifles.

During interaction with the villagers, it was assured by the Assam Rifles that they will continue to help locals and uphold the motto of 'Friends of North East People' .
