Imphal, February 12 2022: Phundrei Battalion of IGAR (S) organised a medical camp at Chakpikarong village in Chandel district on Saturday as part of Operation Sadbhavna.

In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that the medical camp was organised to assist the villagers who have limited access to basic healthcare services in remote areas of the district.

Medical team from Assam Rifles in collaboration with the Community Health Centre, Chakpikarong carried out health check-up of 178 villagers to assess their health status.

The individuals diagnosed with severe diseases were referred to civil hospital for detailed examination.

The medical camp culminated with distribution of essential medicines to villagers, it added.
