In a memorandum to the Union Minister, the TSA said that tribal traditional laws do not permit sale of land and setting up of the Smart City would have immense negative impact on environment.
There is also lack of provisions for rehabilitation and resettlement for the project, the TSA mentioned.
The TSA also warned of launching agitation if no positive response to the demands for the protection of tribal land rights is coming forth from the Govt.It also made it clear to the Minister that the Smart City be set up at a place where it is needed and not where no need for it is felt.
