Imphal, November 10 2024: Security forces seized two pistols, one rifle, one pompi (improvised mortar) and a variety of ammunition and explosives from the hill area of Utangpokpi in Kakching district.

The items were seized by a combined team of BSF (131 Bn C-Coy), 46 Assam Rifles and Kakching commandos.

The seized items include one .22 Rifle with loaded magazine having two live rounds, two 9mm pistols with one magazine, one hand grenade, five tear smoke shells, two smoke grenades, one pistol holster, four 9mm live rounds, 32 empty cases of different diameters, Baofeng handset, bulletproof jackets etc.

A case has been taken up at Sugnu police station.
