Imphal, November 10 2014: Musician and activist Naba Volcano has been awarded the Sangeet Bhusan Award during a ceremony organised by Manipur Sahitya Parishad, Meghalaya.

The ceremony was held on Nov 8 at North Eastern Hills University campus.

Governor of Meghalaya, who is also in-charge of Manipur, Dr KK Paul handed over the award to Naba Volcano.

At the same time, the Sangeet Ratna award 2014 was awarded to retd Director of Song and Drama Division, Delhi, Naba Ningthouja during the occasion, Naba Volcano said during a press meet held at BJP Manipur office at Nityapat Chuthek today.
