Imphal, July 10 2014: National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) for Ukhrul district has been renamed as National Health Mission (NHM) and the district health mission has been launched.

The first general body meeting of the District Health Mission (DHM) Ukhrul was held today at Hotel Imphal where Deputy Speaker Preshow Shimray, Parliamentary Secretary Victor Keishing, MLA Samuel Risom, Ukhrul ADC Chairman John Ra-leng, CMO Ukhrul Dr NG Raikhan, Ukhrul DC and many other district level officers were present.

The meeting discussed about the existing condition of health centres of Ukhrul district and all possible improvement measures.

Elected members of Ukhrul district assured that they would apprise about shortages of Ukhrul district health centres and seek assistance from the Government to improve them.
