Kakching, August 09 2022: A team of Kakching commandos and women police personnel seized 2.18 Kgs of suspected opium from three individuals at Moltichan village near Serou Lamkhai at around 7.30 pm yesterday.

The three individuals including two women were travelling in a black TUV 300.They have been identified as Thangkholal Guite (36) s/o Thongkhopao Guite of Phoilen, Chandel district, Ngaineichong Guite (33) w/o Thangkholal Guite of Phoilem and Hoikhoneng Haokip (65) w/o Haokholet Haokip of Phaiphenkoi, Chandel district.

An amount of Rs 3,65,300 was also recovered from their possession.

They have been handed over to Sugnu police station along with the seized items.
