Imphal, February 08 2019: Mantripukhri Bn of 9 Sector AR under the aegis of IGAR (South) organised a free veterinary aid cum medical camp as part of Op SADBHAVANA at Awang Leikhenthabi and Potsangbam areas of Imphal East today.

More than 600 animals including were provided necessary veterinary aid by the veterinary doctors and staff from Dimapur Military Veterinary Hospital and Leimakhong Army Dog Unit.

In addition, the Medical doctors of Mantripukhri and Thoubal Battalions provided free consultation and medication to needy patients, said a statement of IGAR (S).

Treatment and counselling for several hypertensive cases and alcohol/ drug addicts were also rendered as part of the camp.

The villagers were also sensitised on health and hygiene measures to be taken against various diseases.

Over 400 locals from areas in and around Awang Leikhenthabi and Potsangbam attended the camp, it added.
