Ukhrul, October 07 2024: Ukhrul police have recovered two more looted arms, taking the total number of recoveries to 18 out of the 20 arms looted from Ukhrul police station by an irate mob recently.

Police said that the latest recovery of two arms both 9mm firearms was made on Sunday and that efforts are on to recover the remaining two weapons - one 9mm and one AK 47 rifle.

It may be recalled that the 20 arms along with ammunition were looted by a mob from Ukhrul police station during the violent clash between Hunphun and Hungpung villages over a land boundary issue on October 2 .
