Imphal, November 06 2024: A youth was shot and injured by unknown persons at Bishnupur district this afternoon.

The incident happened along Ningthoukhong to ITI road in Bishnupur district at around 12.10 pm.

The man injured in the shooting has been identified as Khwairakpam Amarjit (25), son of Kh Khelen of Thamnapokpi Mayai Leikai.

He received a bullet injury near the left collarbone.

Amarjit has been rushed to RIMS Hospital Imphal and is receiving treatment, said sources.

The reason behind the shooting and persons involved have not been identified.
