Imphal, November 06 2012:
Two pairs of Brahminy Shel ducks have been sighted at Tangjengpat which is being developed by the State Government as a biodiversity reserve.
Generally, hundreds of Brahminy Shel ducks locally known as Nganu Thangong come to the lake every year.
Last year, Bombay Natural History Society together with the State Forest Department fitted devices in three Brahminy Shel ducks to track their migratory routes.
But they could not be tracked any further after they reached Mongolia.
