Imphal, August 06 2015: Olympic medallist and five times world boxing champion MC Mary Kom has condoled the victims of Joumol village landslide.

In a statement, she said, "I am really shocked to know that about 20 persons were buried alive in a landslide at Joumol village.

Nothing can heal the pain of losing loved ones" .

Mary Kom further said that it is good that the State Government and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) had extended all possible assistance to the victims' families and villagers.

She said, "I appreciate our local people and organizations, who have extended their helping hands in various ways.

I urge the Central Government to kindly consider this matter seriously as the recent heavy rainfall and flood have created a huge loss to both in valley and hill" .
