Imphal, October 02 2018: A man was found killed near Thotchanran village of Chandel district along Pallel-Chandel road this morning.

The deceased has been identified as one M Sairenkhup Kom alias Akhup (48) s/o Mangte Tonpa of Bungsanglen village, Churachandpur district.

Deep wounds made by sharp objects were seen on his neck and chest.

Police have deposited the corpse at JNIMS morgue after registering an FIR.

The deceased is survived by his wife and two children.

Meanwhile, a large number of Chandel based Naga civil society organisations have strongly condemned the barbarous murder and urged the law enforcing agencies to investigate the crime and award befitting punishment to all the culprits.
