Imphal, June 01 2022:
Director of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Ng Ibotombi has appealed to all owners of horses/ponies who have no or proper facilities to take care of their animals to keep their horses/ponies at Marjing Pony Complex at Pangei or at the campus of Manipur Horse Riding and Polo Association at Lamphelpat.
In a statement, the Director said that letting loose livestock animals not only inconveniences the public but also has the risk of causing vehicle accidents.
The Director also warned letting loose of livestock animals is a punishable offence under the Indian Penal Code, 1973 and Cattle Trespass Act 1871 .
