Imphal, August 31 2014:
The people of Charoikhullen Village Authority (CVA) expressed their heartfelt gratitute to the State Mission Director, National Rural Health Mission for visiting the PHSC Charoikhullen under Hanglep sub-division, according to statement issued by the village authority.
It could be mentioned that no Director from the Government has ever visited Hamlet village.
The thoughtful visit of the State Mission Director was a historic visit being the first visit to look upon the healthcare facility of Henglep sub-division, the statement said.
It asserted that child delivery at home is a common practice of the villagers due to non-availability of trained manpower and healthcare facility in the area.
Sadly many women have died due to poor healthcare facility at the time of delivery.
It further stated that the visit has given a ray of hope to the people of Charoikhullen.
Conveying gratitute to the Mission Director, it also committed to extend full cooperation for any initiative taken up for the improvement of healthcare facility in Henglep area.
