Imphal, June 30 2011: The proscribed RPF/PLA has clarified Sergeant Maj Nikolai (Army No 0854) was no longer connected with the party when he was killed by police commandos on June 28 at Naoremthong Khullem Leikai.

Sgt Maj Nikolai was expelled from the party according to EC Resolution No 107 (b) (i), said a press release issued by the outfit's assistant publicity secretary GM Changjou.

Saying that Nikolai was not given any weapon by the party, the outfit alleged that unarmed Nikolai was shot dead by police commandos after taking him into their custody.
