Imphal, January 31 2017:
Some unwarranted people in civil dress have been posing as Customs officers and have been demanding money after detaining vehicles at various places during odd hours, conveyed a press release issued by Gaikhonlung Panmei, the Assistant Commissioner Customs Division.
He has informed the Customs officers to conduct their duties ID cards.
The Superintendent (Anti-smuggling), Customs Division can be contacted for proper verification if any unwanted personnel/s demand money disguising themselves as Customs officers in future, he added.
