Imphal, December 31 2013 : Conse-quent to the election Com- mission of India advising the State Government to begin necessary process for the up-coming Parliamentary elections scheduled next year, all other assignments not related to the election have been relieved from the Chief electoral Officer (CEO) and the Joint CEO.

As per an order issued today by the Department of Personnel additional charges of Commerce & Industries and Sericulture assigned to the CEO O Nabakishore Singh have been handed over Commissioner N Lakher.

Similar, Joint CEO N Praveen has been relieved from the additional assignment as the Project Director of DRDA, Tamenglong and the same charge handed over to the Additional DC (Tamenglong) with immediate effect.
