Expired, contaminated commodities set on fire

Kangpokpi, October 27 2015:
Contaminated and expired commodities sold by various shops and vendors in Kangpokpi town were set on fire in public view on Tuesday.
Volunteers of Kangpokpi Town Committee, Kangpokpi Women Welfare Organization and Kangpokpi Youth Union set the commodities on fire after conducting a surprise drive to check sale of expired and contaminated commodities including food items, cosmetics and medicine in the town.
Kangpokpi Town Committee Vice Chairman J Guite warned that if shops or vendors are found "practicing unhygienic activities" in town, severe action will be initiated against them without prior warning.
