Drug awareness drive held

Noney, June 26 2021:
On the occasion of International Day of Drug Abuse, Khoupum and Loktak Battalions under the aegis of IGAR (South) organised a vehicle based awareness drive in various remote villages of Khoupum valley and Sendra from June 24-26 .
The awareness drive was organised with an aim to create awareness among the locals about the harmful effects of drug abuse on the body and society, said a statement of IGAR(S).
The event was organised with adequate social distancing following all COVID-19 protocols.
Moreover, Noney Battalion of 22 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQs IGAR(E) organised an anti-drug awareness lecture on the eve of 'International Drug Abuse Day' today.
The lecture was organised by Battalion HQ Noney and COBs, Kotlien, Tupul, Haochong, Awangkhul and Nungba.
It was specially conducted for the youth in remote villages of Noney district.
Later, an oath was also taken by all the attendees to contribute towards a 'Drug free Manipur' and 'Drug Free India' .
