Kakching, May 21 2015 : A cataract detection camp was held at Kakching Sumak Leikai in Thoubal district on Thursday.

The camp, organized by NPCB, Thoubal under the sponsorship of National Programme for Control of Blindness, aimed at preventing losing eye sights due to cataract related diseases and conditions.

A total of 182 people were screened during the camp.

Of this, 29 persons were diagnosed with cataract while 14 with Peterygium.

They will undergo free surgery at Shija Hospital on May 25 .
