Imphal, July 17 2015 : Electrocuted
One person, identified as Khoisnam Jiten (47) son of Kamni of Kameng Makha Leikai who was electrocuted on July 13 succumbed to the injuries on Friday.

He was admitted in a private hospital in a critical condition.

He died early on Friday morning.

7 killed in encounter
Five suspected cadres of the NSCN(K) and two villagers were killed in an encounter with Assam Rifles at Meluri, Phek District, Nagaland close to Jessami, Ukhrul District on Thursday.

The site of the encounter is located about 30 km away from Jessami, said police sources.

The bodies of the insurgents have not been identified, till the filing of this report.

Bijayenti gets Actor Chairman Award

MR association postpones meeting
The annual General Body meeting of Manipur Rifle Association which was scheduled to be held on July 19 has been postponed due to prevailing law and order situation in the state until further notification, informed Secretary Manipur Rifle Association.
