Source: Chronicle News Service
Imphal, May 17 2022:
PHED has informed that the department will put on hold the water supply operation from Singda and Kangchup Water Treatment Plants for some time due to muddy water flowing in the reservoir owing to incessant rainfall that the state is witnessing in the past few days.
In a statement, PHED executive engineer Ksh Tombi informed that turbidity level of Singda dam has reached 1490 NTU, thus affecting the water treatment operation.
Operation will resume after the turbidity level falls, the statement added.
