Imphal, August 07 2015 : Six police personnel of Imphal East District on Friday have been placed under suspension with immediate effect reportedly in connection with the killing of Sapam Robinhood.

Lisham Shoven Singh, Loukham Tiken Singh, Md Radikafur, Nongthombam Sushil Singh, Mutum Guneshwor Singh and K Starson Tarao have been suspended since a departmental inquiry is contemplated against them in connection with the death of the student.

An order in this regard was issued by Superintendent of Police, Imphal East District, Kamei Angam Romanus.

The order has also informed the six personnel to stay at the Reserve Line, Porompat and that they shall not leave their headquarters without obtaining prior permission of the SP.

They will get subsistence allowances as admissible under rules during the period of their suspension, the order further informed.
