Residential Youth Leadership Camp begins

Imphal, September 05 2014 : A Residential Youth Leadership Camp organized by Joint Students' Coordination Committee (JSCC), Manipur began at Liberal College, Luwangsangbam here today.

On the first day of the camp, campers held an introduction programme.

On the second day tomorrow, social service in the morning will be followed by lecture sessions with resource persons.

Prof.MC Arun of Manipur University will talk on the topic 'role of students in present Manipur scenario', while Social scientist Dr.Dhanabir Laishram and Assistant Professor of DM College Teachers' Education Chirom Shantikumar will give lectures on 'present education system in the context of Manipur'.

Mentioning the objectives of the residential camp, Th.Premananda, Convenor of JSCC pointed out that leadership camp will be able to dwell on the various roles of youths in the society.

Saying that students from various places of Manipur are taking part in the youth camp, Premananda said during the camp, discussions will be held for opening of JSCC units in all districts.

The residential camp will end on September 8 .
