Kakching, October 01 2018: Sit-in protest, organized by Joint Non Government Voluntary Organization (JNGVO) Kakching, was held today at Irabot Park, Kakching Keithel demanding immediate resolution of the crisis of Manipur University and unconditional release of arrested students and teachers while students, women vendors of Kakching Keithel, shopkeepers, members of Clubs and other organization took part in the protest demonstration.

In the protest demonstration, placards which read as "Unconditional release of students and teachers who have been arrested in connection with the crisis of Manipur University", "Stop chasing students and bring peaceful solution in MU at the earliest", "Remove Arm forces from the campus of MU so that students can lead a normal life" were used by the agitators.
