UNC to ban national projects

Imphal, July 28 2014 : Pressing its for alternative arrangement, United Naga Council (UNC) has announce to ban all construction works of National projects in 'Naga areas', which include the Trans Asian Railways, Power Grid, NHPC and the National highways for 10 (ten) days with effect from 6 AM of 1st August, 2014.In statement issued by its Publicity Wing, UNC asked all agencies engaged with the national projects to extend their cooperation and solidarity to ensure that the civil action is violence free and peaceful.

The statement also directed all Tribe Hohos, Naga Frontal and Regional organizations to ensure that the ban is effectively enforced in their respective jurisdiction.
