Imphal, June 25 2013: Urging their senior colleagues (senior Engineer) not to hold 2 (two) posts thereby restricting their promotion, Association of All Manipur SO and AE (i/c) of PWD, PHED, IFCD and Power Dept, Manipur has pressed state government to give forced retirements to senior engineers, who don't oblige government order.

As the senior engineers like Chief Engineers; Additional Chief Engineers; Superintending Engineers and Executive Engineers are holding 2 (two) posts , permanent posts of Assistant Engineers have been put into stagnancy for the last 25 years, K Premchand, General Secretary of the Association pointed out in a statement.
