Imphal, February 23 2009: A condolence meeting of SDO/BDO staff was held today with SDC/Kasom Khullen in the chair over the demise of Dr Th.Kishan Singh, MCS, SDO/BDO Kasom Khullen along with two of his staff.

The meeting observed 2-minute silence as a mark of honour to the departed souls, a condolence message of the staff of SDO/BDO Kasom Khullen stated while also sharing the grief and sorrow of the bereaved families.

Meanwhile, a meeting of the faculty of the MU's English Department with other teachers of the Colleges of Manipur and students held on February 23 at MU English department remembered Dr Th.Kishan Singh who passed away on February 17 and his long association with higher education in the state as a dedicated teacher of English, a condolence meeting resolution of the MU English dept signedby Prof Th.Ratankumar Singh, HOD, English, MU said.

It said that the meeting deeply condoled the untimely demise of Dr Kishan who has spent the best years of his life for the cause of higher education and in mournful memory, the meeting observed two-minute silence as a mark of respect to the departed soul while also sharing the sufferings of the bereaved family.
