Imphal, July 17 2015 : Bhartiya Janata Party, Tamei Mandal has congratulated Prof.Gangmumei Kamei, prof.of History (retd) Manipur University on being appointed as non official full time member to the North Eastern Council (NEC) for three years.

His appointment to the NEC clearly indicates the "turning point" on the various development programmes to change the entire region specially for the backward state like Manipur, said a release by BJP Tamei Mandal.
