Tamei Battalion organises "Indian Army recruitment drive" for women

Tamenglong, June 16 2021:
Red Shield Division of Spear Corps organised a mobile campaign for women to join the Indian Army at Tamei, Langmai, Tamah and Kabonram villages of Tamenglong district.
As a part of the campaign the Red Shield Division also gave awareness on COVID-19 to the people.
The campaign was flagged off from Tamei by the Commanding Officer of the Battalion in the presence of local leaders.
Information on Women Recruitment into Indian Army's Corps of Military Police as a soldier in Manipuri language was aired from Mobile Campaign vehicle.
The aim of the campaign was to highlight the immense employment opportunities for women in the Indian Army as a career.
The Medical officer of Tamei Battalion also explained the COVID-19 prevention measures to the residents of these far flung villages.
The innovative idea to raise awareness by using a mobile campaign vehicle to ensure strict social distancing norms was lauded by the villagers.
